Ragtime
Cain Park (2019)
​

Position: Scenic Artist

​

Specific Tasks Completed:

Guided fellow scenic artist throughout the process.

 

All lettering was done by hand between the two of

us, measuring out spacing on the paint elevation and drawing the letters in chalk prior to painted them in.

​

Discussed and collaborated with Scenic Designer on ways to simplify the design to fit in the limited timeline we were working on. 

​

Entire paint process completed in roughly 60 hours.

Children's Museum of Cleveland
Theatre Room (2018)
​

Position: Scenic Artist & Designer

 

Specific Tasks Completed:

Designed and painted periaktoi panels for the backdrop of the stage for the new room at the Children's Museum of Cleveland. I hired on another scenic (Ruth Lohse) to help me complete the painting of the project over the summer of 2018. The room opened to the public November 2018.

100th Anniversary King Tut Tour
Photo Op Display (2018)

Position: Scenic Artist & Designer

 

Specific Tasks Completed:

Assisted in design and paint of the entire photo op display. Hand cartooned and painted the Egyptian hieroglyphics and god figures. God figures and hieroglyph patterns were designed by me with some influence from references of actual artifacts. The display was sent to Los Angeles, California after completion and will tour with the exhibit.

 

 

Dial "M" For Murder & The Tempest 
Great Lakes Theatre (2015)

Position: Scenic Artist

 

Specific Tasks Completed:

Parque Floors: Stained individual luan pieces to create the look of a hard wood floor.

Faux Finishes: Worked with Scenic Charge on faux concrete and aged wood techniques, specifically on the set for "The Tempest".

Alchemy Floor: Worked both with Scenic Charge and individually on painting texture into the floor, laying out and cartooning the design, as well as sealing the floor.

 

 

Once On This Island JR
Near West Theatre (2015)
​

Position: Scenic Artist

 

Specific Tasks Completed:

Fantasy Rocks- base coated foam in flexcoat, dutchman'd the seams, painted to finish.

Copper Gates- mixed colors, painted to finish from elevation.

Sunset Backdrop & Floor- Assisted with painting the undercoat that another artist then topped with a fine spray to replicate the elevation.

 

Dreamgirls |Brookside High School (2014)
​

Position: Scenic Charge Artist

 

Specific Tasks Completed:

Stylized Portraits-

Warhol Style: projected photograph of the actor onto the surface, cartooned and markered in outline, chose colors and painted.

Deena Mural: projected photograph of the actress, cartooned outline, and painted.

Supervised high school cast in completeing basic base painting needs. Taught proper painting procedures and cleaning of equiptment.

A Christmas Story: The Musical 
Near West Theatre (2014)

Position: Scenic Artist

 

Specific Tasks Completed:

Christmas Drop- Assisted with stretching and starching canvas, base painting and details (specifically snowflakes, frame and lettering.)

Car- Freehand cartooned and painted car based off of reference image provided.

Santa Mountain- Freehand cartooned and painted design based off of reference image provided.

South Pacific |Porthouse Theatre (2013)

Position: Assistant Scenic Artist

 

Specific Tasks Completed:

Floor- Freehand cartooned and lettered the stage left War Document.

10 Clubs Card- Freehand cartooned and sharpied the center airplanes for pounce pattern.

Wood- Completed nearly all visible drift wood treatments.

Working |Porthouse Theatre (2013)

 

Position: Assistant Scenic Artist

 

Specific Tasks Completed:

Rust- Created and implimented painting technique on all rusted surface treatments.

Hardwood Circle Platform- Painted wood floor from beginning to end. (About 1 hour, not including dry time.)

Fiddler on the Roof |Porthouse Theatre (2013)

Position: Assistant Scenic Artist

 

Specific Tasks Completed:

Floor- Assisted in layout, cartooning, and painting all steps.

Proscenium Piece (SR)- Personally executed all steps of layout, cartooning and painting from beginning to end.

A Funny Thing Happened on the
Way to the Forum |Marietta College (2011)

Position: Scenic Artist, Assistant Scenic Designer

 

Specific Tasks Completed:

Comedy Tonight Sign- Scumbled, cartooned, lettered, and sponge stamped main design on. Painted matching, removable "Tragedy" sign.

"Vaudeville" Stage- Designed and painted small front stage. Used stenciles and sponge stamps. 

Translucent Women Paintings- Cartooned and painted translucent muslin drops to create backlit silhouette effect. 

 

Assisted in painting all other textures and designs seen in full photo.

At Home At the Zoo |Marietta College (2010)
​

Position: Scenic Artist, Designer & Set Decorator

 

Specific Tasks Completed:

Stone Walls- Designed the walls and chose color scheme, assisting in creating the painting technique.

Floor- Scumbled with a marbling technique and sealed by myself with a team of painters.
